Jim Ludlam has been the Elementary, Middle and High School Band Director in the Woodstown-Pilesgrove School District for the past eight years. Prior to teaching in Woodstown.  Jim was the Middle School/High School Band Director in the Pennsville School District for eight years.
Jim has taught Marching Band at Rowan University and various other High School Marching Bands in Southern New Jersey.
He is a member of “NAFME” and of the “South Jersey Band and Orchestra Directors’ Association” and has served as manager for the All South Jersey High School Symphonic Band, All South Jersey High School Wind Ensemble and the New Jersey All State Symphonic Band as well as conducting the 2004 All South Jersey Jr. High Band, 2009 Western Burlington County High School Honors Band, 2014 Olympic Conference High School Honors Band and the 2015 Cape-Atlantic High School Honors Band.
Jim is also an active tuba performer in the Southern New Jersey Area. He has performed with; “The Bay Atlantic Symphony”, “South Shore Symphony”, “South Jersey Wind Symphony”, “South Jersey Area Wind Ensemble”, the “Atlantic Brass Band” and the “Bonsal Blues”. Currently he is the Assistant Conductor of the “Philadelphia Brigade Brass Band” and a performing member of the “Federal City Brass Band”, the “Salem County Brass Society” and is the founder of both the “Recycled Brass Tuba Quartet” and the “Fort Delaware Cornet Band”. He has also conducted the “Rowan Youth Orchestra”, implemented annual “Tuba Christmas” concerts at Woodstown High School and is a member of the “Sons of the American Revolution”, as well as the New jersey State Patriotic Instructor for the “Sons of Union Veterans”, Camp Commander of SUV Camp 82 - James S. Stratton Camp and a Master Mason.
Jim enjoys spending the spring and summer with his wife, Marie, visiting, interpreting and performing at various Civil War historical sites and being a historical interpreter volunteer at Fort Delaware.
